Pure Properties take the Twitter plunge!
We can’t deny that social networking is becoming more of an integral part of everyday life.
Everyone seems to have a Facebook account and with the increase in use of smartphones, iPhones and iPads, it’s never been easier to let anyone know what you’re doing at anytime of the day. (There are still certain things that really should be kept private however!)
So, the official blurb on Twitter is “Twitter is a website, owned and operated by Twitter Inc., which offers a social networking and microblogging service, enabling its users to send and read messages called tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters displayed on the user’s profile page. Tweets are publicly visible by default; however, senders can restrict message delivery to just their followers. Users may subscribe to other users’ tweets—this is known asfollowing and subscribers are known as followers.” – So in layman’s terms, you can send a short message telling people what you’re doing!
Personally speaking, I never really ‘got’ Twitter until having a chat with our web designer who talked about the many benefits of keeping a regular flow of tweets coming through your page. To be honest, I still don’t have a full handle on what the fuss is about but I have been impressed with the seemingly endless amount of information you can get from people who work within the industry. It’s amazing how you can send one small message that can be passed around so many people with such great effect. Pure Properties even follows a few celebrities including Rihanna and Rio Ferdinand, with the latter seemingly spending more time on twitter than he has on a football pitch recently!
You can follow our tweets here. It obviously helps to have a Twitter account yourself to do so! You’ll be able to keep up to date with where we are on a daily basis, any potential new instructions that are coming to market and receive advance notice of any special deals or promotions we are running at that point in time.
We’ll certainly be using Twitter a lot more in the future due to its ease of use and the fact you can compose a short message in a brief space of time that can have a profound and dynamic effect. My advice to you is to try Twitter out today. You just may like it!
